Realized this morning, due to prolonged chip shortages, Apple will cut projected iPhone 13 production targets for 2021 by as much as 10 million units.
Much of the iPhone 13 marketing is based on the new chipset, the same chips that are difficult to obtain for the electronics giant. The total Q4 units produced will be lower because Broadcom Inc. and Texas Instruments Inc. can't deliver the components.
Apple, one of the world’s largest chip buyers, is struggling with supply chain disruptions like the rest of the world.(More)
