Tesla hired 29k full-timers in 2021

Tesla just announced they employed 28,533 people in 2021, up by 40.3 percent. The stock is rising fast in premarket and looks promising for Monday morning.

Tesla reported in a 10-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission late Friday said the number of full-time workers it and its subsidiaries employed globally as of December 31, 2021 was 99,290, up from 70,757 at the end of 2020.

In comparison to other automakers, General Motors Co. GM, -3.43 percent stated that as of Dec. 31, 2021, it had 83,000 (53%) hourly employees and 74,000 salaried employees for a total of 157,000, up 1.3 percent from 155,000 total employees in 2020, including 87,000 hourly and 68,000 salaried employees.
