The transaction may be highly accretive to current financial performance, provide Netflix with the leading cable-killer PlutoTV streaming asset, and offer up synergy opportunities with the top-rated CBS television network in the United States.

Netflix dropped 20% a few weeks ago after announcing new subscriber additions that just missed projections (8.28M vs. 8.5M) and issuing muted outlook for the current quarter.
